Elle a cr\u00e9\u00e9 plusieurs \u0153uvres m\u00e9morables pour des solistes et ensembles canadiens de premier plan, incluant les orchestres symphoniques de Toronto, Winnipeg et Vancouver, le Trio Gryphon, James Campbell, Shauna Rolston, les quatuors \u00e0 cordes Cecilia et Afiara et Judy Loman.<\/p>

En plus de plusieurs bourses acad\u00e9miques d\u00e9cern\u00e9es par le Canada et l\u2019Angleterre, Dr. Murphy a aussi remport\u00e9 le premier prix ainsi que le People\u2019s Choice Award<\/i> au CBC Young Composer\u2019s Competition<\/i> en 1994 (cat\u00e9gorie quatuor \u00e0 cordes). Depuis, la musique de Dr. Murphy a \u00e9t\u00e9 entendue \u00e0 travers le monde, interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par des solistes et ensembles exceptionnels, en plus d\u2019\u00eatre entendue \u00e0 la radio dans plus de 22 pays. Sa musique a \u00e9t\u00e9 dirig\u00e9e par de r\u00e9put\u00e9s chefs d\u2019orchestre tels que Sir Andrew Davis, David Brophy, Bramwell Tovey et Mario Bernardi, et a \u00e9t\u00e9 entendue dans des salles de concerts l\u00e9gendaires, telles que le Carnegie Hall<\/i> \u00e0 New York et le Mozarteum<\/i> \u00e0 Salzbourg.<\/p>

Kelly-Marie Murphy est n\u00e9e sur une base NATO en Sardaigne, Italie, et a grandi sur des bases des Forces de l\u2019Arm\u00e9e Canadienne \u00e0 travers le Canada. Elle a commenc\u00e9 ses \u00e9tudes en composition \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Calgary avec William Jordan et Allan Bell, pour ensuite compl\u00e9ter un doctorat en composition de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Leeds, Angleterre, o\u00f9 elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 avec Philip Wilby.
